Social psychology focuses on human interaction and social phenomena. In short, social psychology studies interactions between people and the regularities of group activities. Research topics include, for example, interaction, attitudes, identity and attributions (explaining activities). Social psychology examines a person’s social character, behavior, and its regularities.
Social psychological theories are utilized, for example, in the study of moral socialization, ethnic identity, intergroup relations, and the social psychology of health. Increasingly, research on entrepreneurship, working life and digital interaction has also been the subject of research. Social psychological concepts include e.g. motivation, prejudices, identity, emotions, stereotypes, social nature of personality, mass behavior, and group processes.
